Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is transmitted to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Miller County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to respond and manage the correspondence. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Every time a page on this site loads, our servers pick up some technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, popular pages, and points where visits end. Analytics providers combine this activity into usage information. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may alter how certain features behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
No database of court dockets or personal case information is hosted, maintained, compiled, or sold here. The published material identifies where Miller County court records are kept and how to approach Gail Johnson, Clerk of Superior Court, the other local courts, and Georgia E-Access or PeachCourt where applicable. Public access to government records in Georgia is addressed by the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 and 50-18-71, while Superior Court record access is also governed by Uniform Superior Court Rule 21. This private resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is never assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the provider’s privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider sets its retention and disclosure practices independently, so review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Miller County clerk pages, Georgia court-access providers, legal-aid groups, and outside search tools. Following one leaves this resource, and the destination’s privacy policy then governs the visit. Review that policy before sharing personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, customary safeguards are used for collected data. No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security, however, and a breach-free service cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has shared data with us, reach out and we'll delete it right away.
Your Data Rights
Georgia consumer-protection law, including the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act, O.C.G.A. § 10-1-390 et seq., may provide rights or remedies depending on the facts. Regardless of residence, visitors can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
We may change this privacy policy down the road. When we do, the updated version goes up on this page with a new effective date. Check back if you want to keep tabs on how we handle your information.
